I'm an emerging interdisciplinary artist that combines bold expressive abstract acrylic paintings, web interactives, accessible & rhythmic poetry, and video performance art to explore themes of loss, belonging, grief, and spontaneity.
In addition to my lived experiences, my practice is informed by my academic and professional experiences in psychology and artificial intelligence (Master’s in AI, Queen’s, 2021). In 2022 as a Professor of Applied Computer Science & IT, I won a teaching innovation award for designing a novel approach for co-creation in the classroom dismantling the traditional power hierarchy and engaging students meaningfully in assessment. Co-creation is a key principle in my practice. I’m excited to continue to bring AI and technology infused art to community settings. I am also an Expressive Arts Practitioner (Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association) with a focus in Black wellness. I currently work full-time at Canadian technology company while maintaining a part-time arts practice.
Since Summer 2024, I have been genuinely delighted to share my art at events and venues such as: Third Shift Contemporary Arts Festival (Saint John, New Brunswick), Hillside Festival (Guelph, ON), Grimbsy Public Art Gallery, Cambridge Centre for the Arts, Hamilton Fringe Festival, and Helson Gallery (Georgetown, ON).
I am very grateful to have received early financial support from a Region of Waterloo Artist Microgrant (2025) and to have been selected as a Fellow with ArtsPond Ontario (2025) made possible with funding from Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, and Government of Ontario.
What happens when we curate a space for anonymous co-creation and AI?
How will AI influence our romantic relationships?
How does AI influence our sensemaking?
How does AI disrupt our meaning-making?
How do we seek emotional validation from AI?
How could privacy-enhanced approaches to AI make the world a better place?
How do we navigate pain?
How do reconcile the multiplicities of truth while honouring ourselves?
How do we return to arts after trauma?
How do we maximize meaningful co-creation in creative projects?
